The swimming pool is 1metre 50 deep throughout with roman steps at the house end. It’s great for pool games. It has metal railings and a gate closing it off from the terrace and a floating safety cover which is operated electrically. There is a bank of lavender on one side which attracts a host of butterflies, and a stone path leads you up through the garden to the ‘gin and tonic’ deck at the top. There is a good view from here over the valley up to the church. A small sloping meadow extends from this terrace to the back of the pool with fruit, ginko and a walnut tree. The lower area of decking is three steps down from the terrace and is flanked on one side by the house balcony and the other by the barbecue and pool wall. Honeysuckle and jasmine spill over the railings on the other side.
